On the evening of December 12, 2023, the first Dezeen Award China ceremony was held at the Sukhothai Hotel in Shanghai. This architectural extravaganza, jointly launched by Dezeen Award and Bentley China, attracted the participation of top architects and designers from across China, presenting a vibrant and creative architectural event. Mr. Lu Yun, the founder of MUDA Architects, was invited to attend the award ceremony.
MUDA-Architects was honored with the title of "2023 Dezeen Award for Emerging Architectural Firm of the Year in China." The firm expresses gratitude to the judges of Dezeen Award for the high recognition of MUDA Architects' practice in recent years.
The winners of this edition of Dezeen Award were selected from over 500 entries from studios in 35 cities across the country. Among them, 79 projects made it to the shortlist across 17 categories, including architecture, interior design, and design. Additionally, 18 studios were selected by the judges for the "China Designer of the Year" category. The newly established "China Designer of the Year" award will recognize six designers who have made a significant impact on their respective fields of architecture, interior design, and design, showcasing innovative works that have influenced the industry.
